We are hiring for a Barista for our coffee shop in Hackney Wick, Clarnico Coffee. Join SEND Coffee and become part of a force for good in the industry.

Who are We

SEND, standing for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, is a coffee company delivering real impact through our charity & social enterprise model. We work with young people aged 18-25 with special needs and disabilities, training them up to be baristas in a competitive market.

Clarnico is a huge coffee shop in Hackney Wick, east London, where we do basic food, sell massive plants, and make lots of flat whites. The shop was started in 2020, and has been going for 5 years. We also use it as our main training space for baristas, and so it has a huge collection of coffee machines including a 3 group Keese Van De Westen, 3 Marzoccos, a Black Eagle, a Sanremo Cafe Racer, Two Primas, a classic Faema e61, and a Bullet roaster. In summer, we throw the doors open and it’s a sunny place filled with plants.

SEND is run by a team of baristas, and all of us have hands on experience working in the shops. As we’re trying to inspire young people to become baristas as part of our mission, we are dedicated to making it a rewarding and enjoyable role.
