Role overview

We are extremely happy to be able to offer you the position of Coffee Technician. This roll will encompass the management and execution of coffee making ‘Masterclasses’ open to the general public, Wholesale trainings as needed support of the technical services department, and assist managing the team and equipment in the WeWork barista stations. This is a full time roll, predominantly Monday to Friday but some crossover into weekends will be necessary with the masterclasses, and the on call schedule which provides support where it is an absolute necessity over the weekend to wholesale clients.

Role Responsibilities

Technical – 85%

Operate as a field technician, actioning callouts and scheduled maintenance

Provide “first response” technical support to all clients through Job Logic Software, call switch, email or other referred enquiries to all clients.

Escalate to, and coordinate with 3rd third-party technical support services

Contribute to the management of a preventative maintenance schedule/calendar and prompt and coordinate services when they are due.

Assist with internal equipment maintenance and logistics as needed.

Provide advice and additional support to clients as needed

Feedback on any information passed on from clients to the appropriate wholesale manager or relationship owner.

Assist with on-call support on scheduled weekends, providing phone support and, in cases where necessary, in-person assistance over the weekend to wholesale clients.

Provide Technical Training to Wholesale customers either in Brixton or on-site

Cross-department support – 15%

Support marketing departments with events organised for brand exposure or dedicated to wholesale customers

Support wholesale and account management teams with technical queries and any internal training they might request.

Personal Skills / Experience required

At least 12 months of working as an espresso equipment technician.

Good knowledge of the operation and functionality of a range of espresso and brewing equipment.

Open to learning, and prepared to be sent for technical training where required

Strong coffee knowledge, particularly in espresso

Able to communicate clearly and engage various stakeholders.

Able to work effectively without direct oversight.

Methodical and organised to manage scheduling and stock management.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Hold a full UK driving license
