About gaff. The concept of ‘Gaff’ comes from the slang word meaning someone’s home. Using this, Gaff’s mission is to bridge the gap between British café culture and specialty coffee, providing quality coffee at affordable prices and classic grab and go items like our selection of delicious Gaff made sausage rolls.

Your responsibilities:
Teamwork: Ensure all stock levels are replenished at the end of your shift Communicate any customers issues with your line manager in a timely manner Communicate any stock issues with your line manager at the earliest opportunity Keep up to date with developments within gaff; new products/procedures etc. Ensure that there is continuous, effective communication within the site and with other sites where necessary Provide support and guidance to all members of the team to ensure that gaff’s vision is achieved to the highest standard
Selling and Customer Service: Prepare drinks and food items with care following the correct recipes and the gaff standards guidelines Ensure all coffees are produced consistently to a high standard according to the Gaff manual Duty of care for the vision and purpose of the Café(s) in line with Gaff’s values Refer customers to drinks and food options and make any recommendations that may be necessary Greet customers as they enter the shop Ensure that you are adhering to the gaff FoH standards of dress, appearance and cleanliness during hours of work Take orders and communicate them with your relevant colleague Receive and process payments
Health and Safety: Follow opening and closing procedures as laid out in the company on site folders Keep the bar and customer areas clean Maintain all equipment ensuring that any issues are reported to your line manager at the earliest opportunity Comply with health and safety regulations at all times in all areas of gaff premises Participate actively in all training sessions attended
